Now Introducing Zero Waste Bags!

Through our partnership with TerraCycle, you can now stop WishCycling and recycle those #HardtoRecycle items your curbside bin wont take. From cosmetics to plastic packaging, clothing to food pouches, we've got you covered. Add a Zero Waste Bag to your existing Compost Exchange pickup, no extra trip required.

What is TerraCycle?

TerraCycle's purpose is to recycle what traditional recyclers do not. They specialize in items that can't be collected through standard curbside recycling programs.

Legally Guaranteed Recycling

TerraCycle grants a legal guarantee that your waste will be recycled. They charge the actual cost of collecting and processing, ensuring accountability.

Audited & Transparent

TerraCycle conducts annual 3rd party audits with Bureau Veritas and provides clients direct audit rights in contracts.

Flexible Solutions

Corporate partners can direct their recycled materials however they wish—into new products or their own supply chains.

How It Works

We make getting started with Zero Waste Bags is easy for our members.

1. Order Bags Online

Login to your online account, choose your Zero Waste Bag size (Small, Large, or Extra Large) based on what you're collecting, place the order. If you’re a TCE curbside member, we will deliver your Zero Waste Bags right to you door next time we service your house.

2. Fill Your Bag

Collect hard-to-recycle items like cosmetics, plastic packaging, clothing, shoes, and more. Each bag size holds approximately 2-33 gallons depending on the size.

3. We Pick It Up

The Compost Exchange collects filled Zero Waste Bags from your doorstep on your regular collection route and at our drop-offs, no special trips or pickup request needed.

4. TerraCycle Recycles

TerraCycle receives aggregated bags, sorts materials, and processes them into secondary raw materials that become new products.
